Ballet Dance
Ballet is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical – performed on a stage to an audience utilizing costumes, scenic design, and lighting. It can tell a story or express a thought, concept, or emotion. Ballet dance can be magical, exciting, provoking, or disturbing.
Tap dance
Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two significant variations of tap dance exist rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses on dance; it is widely performed in musical theater. Rhythm tap focuses on musicality, and practitioners consider themselves part of the jazz tradition.
The sound is made by shoes with a metal "tap" on the heel and toe. There are different brands of shoes that sometimes differ in the way they sound.

Contemporary & lyrical dance
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Lyrical has been said to be a fusion of ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles of dance. It is the personal expression of the choreographer to music with lyrics that expresses a strong emotional interpretation of the chosen song. Dancers use their bodies as well as facial movements to express the emotions of the lyrics.
Hip hop dance
Hip-hop dance is a style of street dance form that evolved from hip-hop culture and hip-hop music. It borrows elements from a number of different styles like African dance, tap, and ballet. Hip-hop dance began as a freestyle dance performed in the streets by dance crews, mostly to hip-hop music.
musical theater dance
Dancers that perform musical theater are usually referred to as “triple threats” for their ability to sing, dance, and act because the style of dance blends the performance of choreography and vocals in the form of singing and acting.
As musical theater is drama-based it requires a dancer to have an understanding of how to create various emotions through their movement, facial expressions, and voice.
